Officiant

What does a wedding officiant do?
An officiant legally marries you. I handle everything from the pre-ceremony consultation to writing and delivering a personalized ceremony script, and filing your marriage certificate with the state after your wedding day.
What does a wedding officiant say during the ceremony?
Every ceremony has five moving parts: a welcome that sets the tone, a declaration of intent (the "do you take this person" moment), the exchange of vows, the ring exchange, and the pronouncement. The words within each part are fully customizable: the tone, the stories I tell, whether we include readings or rituals, and how long the ceremony runs. Most ceremonies I officiate are 12–20 minutes, though I've done everything from a two-minute elopement to a 40-minute ceremony with multiple meaningful rituals woven in.
Can you officiate weddings in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania?
Yes, and beyond. As an ordained non-denominational minister, I'm recognized under state law to perform weddings in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and all 50 U.S. states. I regularly serve couples throughout South Jersey, the Delaware Valley, and the greater Philadelphia area, and I'm happy to travel for destination ceremonies anywhere in the country.
Do you write custom vows?
Writing a personalized ceremony is one of my favorite parts of the process. During our consultation I'll get to know your story and craft a ceremony that sounds like you, not a generic script. You're also welcome to write and deliver your own vows alongside it.
How far in advance should I book an officiant?
As soon as you have a date. Popular dates in spring, fall, and summer often book six to twelve months out. That said, I do accommodate shorter timelines when my schedule allows, so reach out and I'll let you know my availability.
Can anyone officiate a wedding in New Jersey?
Technically yes. New Jersey recognizes online ordinations (through organizations like the Universal Life Church) as valid for performing a legal wedding ceremony. Your friend or family member can get ordained online, and as long as they're genuinely affiliated with a recognized religious organization, NJ law allows it. There's no state registration requirement for officiants. What differs between a friend and a professional is experience with ceremony writing, delivery, managing the unexpected, and the paperwork. For a full breakdown of both options, see Do You Need a Wedding Officiant, or Can a Friend Do It?
What is included in the officiant package?
The officiant package includes a complimentary consultation, a fully customized ceremony script written to reflect your story, rehearsal attendance, officiating your ceremony on the day, and filing the signed marriage license with the county clerk afterward.
Are you available for elopements or micro-weddings?
Yes, elopements and intimate ceremonies are a specialty. Whether it's just the two of you and two witnesses, or a small gathering of your closest people, I can officiate and/or coordinate. Visit the elopements page for more details.
Do you officiate vow renewals?
Yes, vow renewals are one of my favorite ceremonies to write. Unlike a first wedding, there's no marriage license requirement, no legal checklist, and no external pressure. It's entirely about the meaning of the moment. Whether you're marking a milestone anniversary, recommitting after a hard stretch, or simply want to say it again in front of the people you love, I write every renewal ceremony from scratch. No recycled scripts.

Day-of Coordination

What is the difference between a wedding planner and a day-of coordinator?
A wedding planner is involved throughout the entire planning process, often from engagement to wedding day. A day-of coordinator steps in closer to your date to take everything you've already planned and execute it flawlessly. I handle the logistics, vendors, and timeline so you can actually enjoy your wedding day.
When do you start working with us before the wedding day?
Day-of coordination begins roughly 4–6 weeks before the wedding. I'll review your existing vendor contracts and timeline, conduct a final walkthrough with you, and be your single point of contact in the final stretch, so nothing falls through the cracks.
What does a day-of coordinator handle on the day?
On the day itself, I manage vendor arrivals and communication, oversee the ceremony and reception timeline, handle any issues behind the scenes, keep the wedding party on schedule, and make sure you and your family aren't fielding logistical questions. You enjoy the day. I handle the rest.
Do you work with the venue coordinator?
Yes. Venue coordinators manage the venue's staff and facilities; I manage everything else. The two roles complement each other, and I'm experienced at coordinating alongside venue teams to make sure everyone is aligned.

Pricing & Booking

How much does a wedding officiant cost in New Jersey?
Officiant services through Endless Moments are $500, which covers the initial consultation, a fully custom ceremony script, rehearsal attendance, officiating your ceremony, and filing your marriage license with the county clerk. Day-of coordination is $1,100. Decoration rentals vary by item. When comparing South Jersey officiant pricing, the package matters: some officiants charge less but don't include a consultation, rehearsal, or license filing. Reach out for a free consultation and I'll walk you through exactly what's included.
Do you travel outside South Jersey?
Yes. I'm based in South Jersey and regularly serve couples throughout New Jersey and southeastern Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, Bucks, Delaware, Montgomery, and Chester counties. For destination weddings and elopements further afield, reach out directly. I've traveled as far as California.
